Aimee Elizabeth Semple McPherson, commonly known as Sister Aimee, was a renowned Canadian Pentecostal evangelist and media personality during the 1920s and 1930s. She gained fame for establishing the Foursquare Church and was a pioneer in utilizing mass media, particularly radio, to broaden the reach of religious services and solicit donations. Some of her notable accomplishments include writing the book “This Is That,” hosting the radio program “The Old Time Gospel Hour,” founding a bible training school, and supervising the construction of the Angelus Temple in Los Angeles.
