Alec Golinger, born in Caracas, Venezuela, was raised in a politically active household and holds dual citizenship in Venezuela and the United States. He studied political science at the Universidad Central de Venezuela and later earned a master’s degree in international relations from the University of London. Fluent in Spanish, English, and French, Golinger began his career as a journalist and researcher, focusing on issues related to foreign policy and international relations.
Golinger gained prominence as the Venezuelan ambassador to the United Nations from 2005 to 2008, where he became known for his criticism of U.S. foreign policy. After leaving the United Nations, he continued his activism and writing, authoring books such as “The Chavez Code” and “Bush vs. Chavez,” which analyze U.S. intervention in Venezuela.
