Anika Noni Rose, an American actress and singer, gained recognition for her portrayal of Tiana in Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog” (2009), the first African-American princess in the franchise. She recently completed filming the pilot episode of “Beast Mode,” a TBS/Macro series inspired by the life of renowned boxing trainer Ann Wolfe, where she also holds the position of Co-Executive Producer. Rose has appeared in the award-winning film “Dreamgirls” (2006) and various Broadway musicals, earning a Tony Award for her role in “Caroline, or Change” (2004).
