Barry Levinson, an American filmmaker, is renowned for his mid-budget comedy-drama and drama movies. Some of his most notable works include “Diner” (1982), “The Natural” (1984), “Good Morning, Vietnam” (1987), “Bugsy” (1991), and “Wag the Dog” (1997). Levinson received the Best Director Academy Award for “Rain Man” (1988) and has created four films inspired by his upbringing in Baltimore, such as “Diner,” “Tin Men,” “Avalon,” and “Liberty Heights.” Besides his film career, he released his first novel, “Sixty-Six,” in 2011.
