Carlin Glynn was an acclaimed American actress and director, renowned for her portrayal of Sally Bean in the Broadway production of “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.” Her exceptional performance earned her the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical in 1979. Glynn also appeared in notable films such as “To Be or Not to Be” and “Sixteen Candles.” As a director, she helmed several theater productions and received a Drama Desk Award nomination for directing “The Lost Boy” in 1986. Her other works include “The Trip to Bountiful,” “The Big Knife,” and “The Little Foxes.” On July 13, 2023, Glynn passed away at the age of 83 after battling dementia and cancer.
