Carmen Salinas Lozano (5 October 1939 รขยย 9 December 2021) was a renowned Mexican actress, impressionist, comedian, politician, and theatre entrepreneur. In her later career, she was affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) as a politician. With an extensive acting career, Salinas participated in 115 films, 70 theater productions, 23 telenovelas, and 9 television series. She gained fame for her roles in movies such as “Elisa” (1979) and “Corrupcion” (1984), as well as her telenovela roles in “Maria Mercedes” (early 1990s) and “Mundo de Fieras” (early 2000s). A beloved figure in Mexican entertainment, she was known for her distinctive comedic style and vibrant personality. Salinas passed away on December 9, 2021, at the age of 82.
