Caroline Celestia “Carrie” Ingalls Swanzey (August 3, 1870 รขยย June 2, 1946) was an American author and journalist, renowned as the younger sibling of writer Laura Ingalls Wilder and for her involvement in the “Little House on the Prairie” book series. Born in Montgomery County, Kansas, she was named after her maternal grandmother, Caroline Quiner Ingalls. Carrie Ingalls not only contributed to the Little House series but also wrote articles for Arizona newspapers and supported her sister in her work. She worked as a teacher and was recognized for her outstanding sewing and needlework abilities. Carrie Ingalls Swanzey passed away at the age of 75 on June 2, 1946. As the third child of Charles and Caroline Ingalls, she was the younger sister of the famous Laura Ingalls Wilder, who is known for her Little House books.
