Clive Anderson, a British comedian, television and radio presenter, and lawyer, is best known for hosting the comedy improvisation show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” from 1988 to 1999. In the early 1980s, Anderson was part of the emerging alternative comedy scene and had the distinction of being the first act to perform at The Comedy Store when it opened in 1979. He gained popularity as the host of the UK version of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” and also contributed as a writer for the TV series “Not the Nine O’Clock News.” Anderson’s background as a qualified barrister has led to appearances in legal dramas and documentaries.
