Known for his intellectual and thought-provoking interviews with prominent figures, Cavett has also authored several books, including “Talk Show: Confrontations, Pointed Commentary, and Off-Screen Secrets.” He has made appearances in movies such as “Forrest Gump” and was an extra in “The Great White Hope.” Interestingly, US President Richard Nixon was once caught on tape discussing plans to sabotage Cavett’s career.
