Fess Parker was a renowned American actor and businessman who gained fame for his iconic portrayals of frontiersman Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone in popular TV shows and movies during the 1950s and 1960s. Some of his most well-known works include “Davy Crockett,” “Daniel Boone,” “Old Yeller,” “The Great Locomotive Chase,” and “Smoky.” In recognition of his contributions to the entertainment industry, Parker was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. After retiring from acting, he established a successful business and winemaking career in Santa Barbara. Interestingly, Parker declined the role of James Bond in the 007 franchise, believing the character should remain British.
