George Segal (1934-2021) was a renowned American actor and musician who rose to fame during the 1960s and 1970s for his diverse performances in both drama and comedy. He is best remembered for portraying Jack Gallo in the TV series “Just Shoot Me!” and earning an Academy Award nomination for his role in “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”. Some of his other notable works include “The Owl and the Pussycat”, “A Touch of Class”, “California Split”, and “Look Who’s Talking”. In addition to his acting career, Segal was a skilled banjo player who released several albums throughout his lifetime.
