Beyond his acting prowess, Thomas was an accomplished amateur radio operator with the call sign WB9OLW. His passion for radio led to his induction into the Indiana Broadcast Pioneers Hall of Fame in 2009. Thomas’s remarkable ability to use his ham radio skills for good was evident when he tracked down a hit-and-run driver who struck his car during a live radio show in Los Angeles.
