Jean Seberg, an American actress, rose to prominence as an icon of French New Wave cinema in the 1960s. Her breakthrough role came in Jean-Luc Godard’s iconic film “Breathless” (1960), where she played the captivating Patricia Franchini. Seberg’s natural acting style and gamine beauty made her a symbol of the movement, and she went on to star in over 30 films throughout her career.
Born on November 13, 1938, in Marshalltown, Iowa, Seberg’s early life was marked by challenges. Despite her talent and success, her personal life was often tumultuous.
