Jennifer Beals, an internationally acclaimed actress, is best known for her iconic portrayal of Alexandra “Alex” Owens in the 1983 film “Flashdance.” She first appeared on the silver screen in the 1980 movie “My Bodyguard” and has since starred in numerous films such as “Vampire’s Kiss” (1988), “Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle” (1994), “Devil in a Blue Dress” (1995), “The Last Days of Disco” (1998), “The Book of Eli” (2010), and “Before I Fall” (2017). Additionally, Beals is recognized for her recurring role as Bette Porter in the Showtime drama series “The L Word” and her guest appearance as Jane Rizzoli’s mother in the TNT series “Rizzoli & Isles.” Currently, she is both executive producing and starring in the revival of “The L Word: Generation Q.”
