Joe Ranft (March 13, 1960 รขย€ย“ August 16, 2005) was a renowned American animator, screenwriter, and voice actor who played a significant role in the creative teams at Pixar Animation Studios and The Walt Disney Company. Among his most notable works were co-directing the animated film “Cars” and contributing to Disney classics such as “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Lion King.” As one of the original members of the Brain Trust, Ranft was also involved in various other Pixar projects.
