John Bolton, an American attorney, diplomat, and national security advisor, is well-known for his contributions to US politics and foreign policy. He held the position of US ambassador to the United Nations between 2005 and 2006 and was later appointed as national security advisor by President Donald Trump in 2018. Bolton has written several books, including “Surrender Is Not an Option: Defending America at the United Nations and Abroad.” Additionally, he has served as undersecretary of state for arms control and international security and was a member of President Reagan’s senior staff. As one of the architects of the Iraq War, Bolton has recently become a vocal critic of President Trump, even commissioning a poll to demonstrate the former president’s influence.
