John Zachary DeLorean was a renowned American engineer, inventor, and automobile industry executive. He gained widespread recognition as the founder of the DeLorean Motor Company and for his significant contributions to General Motors. Among his most famous creations was the DeLorean DMC-12 sports car, which rose to fame due to its appearance in the “Back to the Future” film. DeLorean played a crucial role in developing popular models such as the Pontiac GTO and Firebird, as well as contributing to the development of the Chevrolet Vega. Notably, he also became the youngest division head in GM’s history.
