Karim Aïnouz, a talented film director, screenwriter, and visual artist, was born in Fortaleza, Brazil. He gained recognition for his 2019 film “The Invisible Life of Euràdice Gusmão,” which received the Un Certain Regard award at the Cannes Film Festival. Some of his other distinguished works include “Madame Satã” (2002), “Love for Sale” (2006), “I Travel Because I Have to, I Come Back Because I Love You” (2009), and the upcoming “Motel Destino” (2023). Aïnouz has also directed the TV series “Alice” and was honored with the Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government in 2018 for his significant contributions to cinema..
