Koji Kondo, a renowned Japanese composer, pianist, sound designer, and music director, is best known for his work with Nintendo. He has been with the company since 1984, creating iconic soundtracks for the Super Mario and Legend of Zelda franchises, as well as other notable games such as Star Fox, Mario Kart 64, and Super Smash Bros. In 2018, Kondo was inducted into the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences’ Hall of Fame. He continues to contribute to the Nintendo Sound Team as a supervisor, arranger, and consultant.
