Leah Bracknell, an English actress, gained recognition for her 16-year portrayal of Zoe Tate on the popular British soap opera Emmerdale. She also had roles in other TV shows, including Judge John Deed, Casualty, and The Royal Today. Notably, Bracknell played the first lesbian character in a British soap opera. A strong advocate for alternative cancer therapies, she was a qualified yoga teacher and incorporated yoga into her treatment plan after being diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in 2016. Unfortunately, Bracknell passed away in September 2019 at the age of 55.
