Chilean actress, model, and activist Leonor Varela gained recognition for her roles as vampire Nyssa Damaskinos in “Blade II” and Cleopatra in the 1999 miniseries of the same name. She has been actively involved in numerous ecological causes, including “Save Whales Again.” Varela was nominated for an Ariel Award for her performance in the 2004 Mexican film “Innocent Voices.” She also appeared in “Stargate: Atlantis” and had a role in the 2005 film “Americano.”
