Lisa Margaret Hannigan, born on February 12th, 1981, is an Irish singer-songwriter and musician who first gained public attention in 2001 as the female vocalist for Damien Rice’s band. She later established herself as a successful solo artist, releasing three critically acclaimed albums: “Sea Sew” in 2008, “Passenger” in 2011, and “At Swim” in 2016. Known for her delicate vocals and poetic lyrics, Hannigan has collaborated with various artists, such as Herbie Hancock and Ray LaMontagne, and has won several awards, including the Meteor Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year. Some of her notable singles include “Lille” and “Fall.” In addition to her musical talents, Hannigan is a trained visual artist with a degree in Art from Trinity College Dublin and has designed many of her album covers, including that of “Sea Sew.”
