Lynn Hamilton is a retired American actress who gained fame for her portrayal of Donna Harris, Fred’s girlfriend and eventual fiancée, on the popular sitcom “Sanford and Son” (1972-1977). She also earned recognition for her roles as Verdie Foster on “The Waltons” and Cousin Georgia in the miniseries “Roots: The Next Generations.” With a career spanning over 60 film and television productions, Hamilton was a founding member of the Negro Ensemble Company, which aimed to increase representation of black artists in the entertainment industry.
