Peter Mark Sinclair “Marc” Almond OBE, an English singer, gained fame as one half of the synthpop/new wave duo Soft Cell, known for hits like “Tainted Love” and “Say Hello, Wave Goodbye”. Besides his successful solo career, which includes numerous albums and collaborations with artists such as Gene Pitney, Nick Cave, and Antony and the Johnsons, Almond has also acted in films and TV shows like “Absolution” and “Tales of the City”. In 2022, he released a mini album titled “Things We Lost”. Notably, Almond survived a near-fatal motorcycle accident in 2004. He is recognized for his soulful voice and androgynous image.
