Born as Marc Bell in Brooklyn, New York in 1952, Marky Ramone is a renowned drummer, best known for his role in the legendary punk rock band, the Ramones. He became a member of the band in 1978, taking over from founding drummer Tommy Ramone. Marky contributed to several acclaimed Ramones albums, including “Road to Ruin.”
Apart from his work with the Ramones, Marky has collaborated with various other musical acts, such as Richard Hell and the Voidoids, The Misfits, and Dust, playing drums for both punk rock and heavy metal bands.
Marky Ramone is also a published author, having released a memoir called “Punk Rock Blitzkrieg: My Life as a Ramone.” His passion for cooking led him to publish a cookbook, “Punk Rock Kitchen,” which features over 100 recipes.
As a punk rock legend, Marky Ramone continues to be celebrated for his significant contributions to the genre.
