Marlène Jobert, a French actress, author, and singer, gained prominence in the 1960s and 1970s for her performances in French cinema. She is renowned for her roles in films such as “Masculin Féminin”, “Le Passager de la pluie”, “L’Astragale”, “Le Petit Baigneur”, “La Course à  l’échalote”, and “Le Dernier Amant romantique”. Besides her acting career, Jobert has written several children’s books and released multiple albums as a singer. After taking a hiatus from acting in the 1980s to concentrate on her family and writing, she returned to the screen in 2010 with a role in the French film “Coursier”.

Born in Algeria in 1940, Jobert studied drama and fine art in Paris. She made her acting debut on stage in 1963 and landed her first film role in Louis Malle’s The Thief of Paris in 1966.
