Matthew Sheridan Smith Cardle, commonly known as Matt Cardle, is an English pop singer-songwriter who gained prominence after winning the seventh series of The X Factor in 2010. His debut album, Letters, reached the top of the UK singles chart with its lead single, “Run for Your Life.” Cardle has also released several other albums, such as The Fire and Porcelain. In addition to his music career, he has acted in theatre productions like Strictly Ballroom the Musical and Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert. In 2021, Cardle released the EP Purple Crayon.
