Matt Halpern, born in Dallas, Texas, is an American drummer best known for his exceptional work with the progressive metal band Periphery. He began his musical journey at the age of 12 and quickly gained recognition for his technical prowess and unique blend of metal and progressive rock influences.
As the drummer for Periphery, Halpern has contributed to the band’s critically acclaimed albums, including “Periphery” (2010), “Periphery II: This Time It’s Personal” (2012), “Juggernaut: Alpha” (2015), “Juggernaut: Omega” (2015), “Periphery III: Select Difficulty” (2016), and “Periphery IV: Hail Stan” (2019).
