Lana Michele Moorer, known as MC Lyte, is a legendary American rapper, DJ, and entrepreneur who rose to fame in the late 1980s. As one of the pioneers of female rap, her debut album “Lyte as a Rock” received critical acclaim, and her hit song “Ruffneck” reached the top 40 of the US Billboard Hot 100. MC Lyte has collaborated with artists such as Missy Elliott and Janet Jackson and was the first female solo rapper to receive a Grammy Award nomination.
Apart from her music career, MC Lyte has acted in TV shows like “In the House” and “New York Undercover.” As a motivational speaker, she has delivered keynote speeches at various events.
