Horacio Paul Picerni (December 1, 1922 รขย€ย“ January 12, 2011) was an American actor renowned for his portrayal of Federal Agent Lee Hobson in the popular television series “The Untouchables.” He also had roles in films such as “House of Wax” and “The Black Orchid.” During World War II, Picerni served as a paratrooper in the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the United States Army and participated in the Allied invasion of Normandy on D-Day.

Throughout his career, which spanned from 1946 to 2007, Picerni appeared in over 200 film and television productions. Some of his notable works include TV shows like “Gunsmoke,” “Perry Mason,” and “The Rockford Files,” as well as films like “Airport,” “The Scalphunters,” and “Twelve O’Clock High.” In recognition of his service during World War II, Picerni was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. An interesting aspect of his military service is that he also served as a B-24 bombardier in the US Army Air Forces, completing twenty-five combat missions. Picerni passed away in 2011 at the age of 88.
