Pilar Pallete, a Peruvian-American actress and artist, gained recognition for her role as Tonita in the 1958 film, The Old Man and the Sea. She also appeared in Playhouse 90 and Perry Mason. As a skilled painter, Pallete has showcased her artwork in numerous galleries. She is dedicated to philanthropy, having established the Ricardo Palma Cultural Center in Lima, Peru, in 1987. Notably, she was also married to Hollywood icon Marlon Brando.
