Prue Leith, a renowned British author, cook, and television personality, is best known for her role as a judge on the popular cooking competition show, The Great British Bake Off. She has authored numerous cookbooks, including Leith’s Cookery Bible and The Prue Leith Cookbook. Leith’s significant contributions to the culinary world have earned her an appointment as Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) and an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Reading. She is also the founder of the esteemed Leiths School of Food and Wine in London. Besides her work on The Great British Bake Off, Leith has participated in various other shows and documentaries, including a garden renovation series with her husband, John. Born and raised in South Africa, Leith has been a UK resident for nearly six decades.
