Ragheb Alama, a renowned Lebanese singer, composer, television personality, and philanthropist, was born on June 7th, 1962, in Beirut, Lebanon. He first gained fame in the 1980s as a contestant on the talent show “Studio El Fan,” where he received the Platinum Award. Since then, he has released multiple successful albums and hit singles, including his famous song “Ya Rait.”
In addition to his music career, Alama is well-known for his role as a judge on the popular television show “Arab Idol.” He has received numerous awards, such as the Murex d’Or Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015.
As a philanthropist, Alama established the Ragheb Alama Foundation, which aims to improve the lives of underprivileged individuals and families in Lebanon. He has also contributed to various causes, including supporting the Lebanese army and assisting victims of the Beirut explosion in 2020.
