Reggie Jackson, an American former professional baseball player, was born on May 18, 1946. Known as “Mr. October,” he played 21 seasons in Major League Baseball for teams such as the Kansas City/Oakland Athletics, Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees, and California Angels. Throughout his career, Jackson achieved notable accomplishments, including winning five World Series championships, being a 14-time All-Star, and hitting 563 home runs. He was named the World Series MVP in 1973 and earned his famous nickname for his clutch performances. In recognition of his achievements, Jackson was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1993.
