Samir Ghanem was a renowned Egyptian actor, comedian, and singer who made significant contributions to Egyptian cinema and television. He gained prominence in the 1970s with his comedic roles and performances, starring in films such as “El-Halfoot” and “El-Kaber,” and TV shows like “Lahazat Harega” and “Sokkar Mor.” Ghanem was also known for his humanitarian work and received numerous awards throughout his career.
Before becoming an actor, Ghanem was a licensed veterinarian, but he chose to follow his passion for performing instead. In 2021, he passed away at the age of 84 due to COVID-19 complications, leaving behind a legacy of over 300 acting roles in films, TV series, and theater plays. Among his most notable works was the series “Badal Al Hadduta Talata,” in which he starred alongside his daughter, Donia Samir Ghanem.
