Sydney Chaplin, born on March 30, 1926, in Beverly Hills, California, was an American actor and the second son of Charlie Chaplin and Lita Grey. He enjoyed a successful career in film and theater, with one of his notable roles being in his father’s movie “Limelight” (1952). Sydney also won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his performance in “Bells Are Ringing” (1957). He appeared in several of his father’s films, such as “A Countess from Hong Kong” (1967). However, Sydney was known for being challenging to work with. He passed away on March 3, 2009. An interesting fact about Sydney is that he was the elder half-brother of actor and filmmaker Charlie Chaplin and acted as his business manager later in life.
