He was the creative force behind iconic cartoon characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Porky Pig. Avery directed the first animated cartoon with synchronized sound and introduced memorable characters like “Red Hot Riding Hood” and “Droopy.” He was honored with a Lifetime Achievement award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for his contributions to the industry.
