Theo McKenzie-Hayton, born on March 15, 1991, is a British dancer and choreographer who rose to fame as a child dancer known as the “Mini King of Pop” for his exceptional Michael Jackson-inspired performances. His talent first gained recognition in 2011 on Sky TV’s Got To Dance, and he later competed on Britain’s Got Talent in 2018 as part of the Diversity Juniors.
Theo’s journey continued as he joined the prestigious Rambert Dance Company in 2011, where he became a Principal Dancer. His captivating performances in critically acclaimed productions like “Ghost Dances” and “The Rite of Spring” solidified his status as a rising star in the dance world.
Venturing into choreography, Theo created his first full-length work, “The Roots of Tango,” in 2018, showcasing his ability to blend contemporary dance with the passion of tango. His choreographic talent shone through in subsequent works like “The Lost Art of Conversation” and “The Distance Between Us.”
Theo’s exceptional contributions to dance were recognized with the prestigious Critics’ Circle National Dance Award for Best Male Dancer in 2016. He has also received nominations for the Olivier Award for Best Male Dancer and the South Bank Sky Arts Award for Dance.
