Victoria Garrick, a former USC volleyball player and mental health advocate, continues to shine as a professional athlete and an inspiration to many. Since our last update in 2019, Garrick has achieved even greater heights in her volleyball career.
After graduating from USC, Garrick was drafted by the Athletes Unlimited Volleyball League (AUVL) in 2020. She made an immediate impact, winning the AUVL MVP award and leading her team to the championship title in her debut season. Garrick’s exceptional skills and leadership on the court have solidified her status as one of the top outside hitters in the world.
In addition to her success in the AUVL, Garrick has also represented the United States on the international stage. She made her senior national team debut in 2019 and has since competed in several major international tournaments, including the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. At the Olympics, Garrick played a crucial role in Team USA’s bronze medal victory, showcasing her talent and determination on the global stage.
Off the court, Garrick remains committed to mental health advocacy and using her platform to inspire others. She continues to share her personal struggles with performance anxiety, depression, and an eating disorder, encouraging athletes and individuals alike to prioritize their mental well-being. Through her YouTube channel and various speaking engagements, Garrick raises awareness about mental health issues in sports and empowers others to seek help and support.
