Will Wright, an American game designer and co-founder of the game development company Maxis, is renowned for creating the popular life simulation game series, The Sims, and the city-building game, SimCity. A pioneer in the simulation genre, Wright has significantly impacted the gaming industry with other successful games, such as Spore. In 2007, he made history as the first game designer to receive the BAFTA Fellowship, an honor previously reserved for individuals in the film and television industries. Recently, Wright returned to the gaming industry with Proxi, an innovative world-building AI simulation game inspired by the brain’s memory storage process.
