Xander Mobus is a voice actor best known for his work in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as the announcer. He has also voiced characters in popular anime shows such as Attack on Titan, One Punch Man, and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. In addition, he has provided his voice for video games like Persona 5 and Catherine: Full Body. Xander has won the BTVA People’s Choice Voice Acting Award for Best Male Vocal Performance in a Video Game for his performance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Xander Mobus got his name from his parents who named him after the protagonist of the 1990s TV show, Highlander: The Series. The show’s main character was named Duncan MacLeod, but his birth name was actually Alexander, which is where the nickname “Xander” comes from.
One less known fact about Xander Mobus is that he is an accomplished singer and has performed in various live musical theater shows. He has also sung the national anthem at a minor league baseball game.
