Adele Jergens was an American actress and dancer who gained fame for her roles in noir films and B-movies. She began her career as a Broadway dancer before transitioning to the film industry in the 1940s. Some of her notable works include “Armored Car Robbery,” “Women in the Night,” and “Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man.” Jergens also appeared in the TV series “The Roy Rogers Show.” Besides acting, she toured with the USO during World War II, entertaining troops in Europe and North Africa. Early in her career, Jergens was often cast as a blonde floozy or burlesque dancer in movies.
