Alan Keyes, an American conservative political activist, author, and former diplomat, gained prominence for his presidential campaigns in 1996, 2000, and 2008. He has written several books, such as “Our Character, Our Future” and “Masters of the Dream: The Strength and Betrayal of Black America,” and frequently appeared on political shows like “The O’Reilly Factor” and “Hardball with Chris Matthews.” Keyes served as a US Ambassador to the United Nations Economic and Social Council under President Reagan and was a fellow at the Institute of Politics at Harvard University, where he taught a seminar on “The Moral and Constitutional Responsibilities of Public Officials.” Notably, Keyes was one of the most prominent African American conservatives during the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
