Aleister Crowley, an English occultist, mystic, and founder of the spiritual philosophy Thelema, is renowned for his influential writings such as “The Book of the Law,” “The Book of Lies,” and “Magick in Theory and Practice.” He was also a member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and the Ordo Templi Orientis. Apart from his literary contributions, Crowley was a skilled mountaineer, participating in expeditions like the 1902 attempt to climb K2. Some of his other notable works include “The Vision and the Voice,” “Confessions,” and “The Equinox of the Gods.” Crowley’s diverse talents extended to philosophy, ceremonial magic, poetry, painting, and novel writing.
