Amrish Puri (1932-2005) was a distinguished Indian film and stage actor, celebrated for his exceptional performances in Bollywood movies. He gained significant fame for his intense and powerful portrayal of antagonistic characters on screen. Some of his most renowned works include Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Mr. India, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Karan Arjun, Ghatak, Pardes, Virasat, and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. In addition to his Bollywood roles, Puri also appeared in iconic Hollywood films such as Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Gandhi. Despite often playing villainous roles, he received numerous awards for his acting versatility and brilliance.
