Ariel Sharon, originally named Ariel Scheinermann, was a prominent Israeli military officer and politician. He gained recognition for leading the Israel Defense Forces during the Yom Kippur War and later serving as Israel’s Prime Minister. Sharon played a significant role in establishing settlements in the West Bank and Gaza Strip and held various ministerial positions, including Minister of Defense, Minister of Agriculture, and Minister of Housing and Construction. He was also instrumental in implementing the Oslo Accords. Sharon remained a controversial and influential figure in Israeli politics until his passing in 2014.
Besides his military and political pursuits, Sharon had a deep interest in farming and set up a ranch in southern Israel. There, he raised various animals, including sheep, cows, horses, and poultry, and demonstrated his skills in gardening by maintaining an extensive collection of plants and trees. Even as Prime Minister, Sharon would frequently visit his ranch to escape political pressures and focus on his agricultural projects.
An intriguing aspect of Ariel Sharon’s personality was his tendency to push the boundaries of his orders during his military service.
