Arthur Hiller was a renowned Canadian-American film and television director with a career spanning 50 years, during which he directed over 33 films. Some of his most iconic works include the romantic classic “Love Story” (1970), the comedy “The Hospital” (1971), the action-comedy “Silver Streak” (1976), “The Americanization of Emily” (1964), and “The In-Laws” (1979). Hiller also served as the President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences from 1993 to 1997. He passed away at the age of 92 on August 17, 2016, in Los Angeles, California.
