Baby Rasta, a Puerto Rican rapper and songwriter, is one-half of the influential reggaeton duo Baby Rasta & Gringo. He played a crucial role in popularizing reggaeton in the 1990s, alongside his partner Gringo. The duo released several successful albums, such as “Fire Live” and “La Ultima Risa,” and produced hit singles like “Tu Cura” and “La Casa Blanca.” Baby Rasta has collaborated with prominent reggaeton artists like Daddy Yankee and Wisin y Yandel and appeared in films like “Los Bandoleros” and “Illegal Tender.” In 2006, he faced a severe head injury in a car accident but made an impressive recovery and returned to music. Notably, Baby Rasta is considered one of the original pioneers of reggaeton music, with over 25 years of international success.
