Barbara Bosson, an American actress, writer, and producer, was best known for her portrayal of Fay Furillo in the television drama series “Hill Street Blues.” She gained further recognition with an Emmy Award nomination for her role in “Murder One.” Bosson also appeared in popular series such as “Murder, She Wrote,” “Law & Order,” and “ER.” In addition to acting, she contributed to producing and writing projects like “Hooperman” and “The Commish.” With a strong background in theater, Bosson performed in numerous New York City productions during the 1960s and 70s, including “The Beggar’s Opera” and “Inheritors,” and continued to work in theater throughout her career. She passed away on February 18, 2023, at the age of 83.
