Béatrice Martin, a Canadian singer-songwriter and pianist, is widely recognized by her stage name, CÅur de pirate. She rose to fame in 2009 with her hit single “Comme des enfants” and has been credited with introducing la chanson française to a new generation. Her most renowned albums, “Coeur de pirate” and “Blonde,” earned her nominations for Juno Awards. In addition to her music career, Martin has performed a Buddy Holly cover for an Activia yogurt commercial and has a daughter named Romy with her husband, Alex Peyrat. Other prominent Canadian pop singers include Betty Bonifassi and Maître Gims.
